Discover our Ecobuild 2017 highlights
There was plenty to see and do at Ecobuild this year. Held at the ExCel Centre in London over 3 days, we visited to checkout what's new for solar PV, and energy saving technology. Here are our highlights.
1. Coloured Solar PV panels
Swiss company UserHuus's stand was definitely a highlight. They were showcasing building integrated solar PV technology (BIPV), using coloured PV panels. They produce bespoke PV facades & cladding. And they’ve designed slate grey & terra cotta PV roofs, transparent PV wall panels, & patterned PV shutters. See more here.
2. New products from Dyson
There were two new products on the Dyson stand we haven't seen before. Their Tap Handryer puts the Airblade technology into a hot & cold mixer tap. It’s aimed at hotels, airports & sports venues, but they hope ultimately to get them into homes too. See more here. And the Dyson task lighting & suspended lighting, which use Heat Pipe technology to cool LEDS was new to us. Read more here.
3. New PV Inverter from SMA
This was the first time we’ve seen the new SMA Sunny Boy 3.0-5.0 PV inverter. It’s smaller & simpler than the previous SB3000TL models, with automatic monitoring & updates. See more here.
